"Joy, I want to personally thank you for the wonderful course that you prepared and facilitated. It was definitely worth every penny! Honestly, I feel like it is the best thing I have ever done for myself as a piano teacher and small business owner. Some of the assignments really stretched me, but I am a better teacher for it. I have more confidence and am already utilizing many of the ideas in my lessons. I look forward to using your materials as a resource for years to come. Thank you so much for your gift of mentoring other teachers!" --Laurie Sorman, piano teacher in Chicago
"I would highly recommend Joy Morin’s Piano Teacher Institute. I took the online course in the spring of 2015 and found an improvement in my instruction within the first two weeks. Joy’s written materials on each of the six topics were well researched and edited. She includes a plethora of resources and she generously shares the documents, templates, ideas, etc. she has prepared to facilitate the operation of her studio. The assignments are appropriate and will make you think about the quality of your instruction. Joy will give you timely comments to your work and offer constructive criticism to help you improve. The weekly Google+ chat sessions were an informative time to share ideas with other instructors. Overall, the course was affirming and continues to make me think about ways I can improve as an instructor. I would also recommend signing up for updates to Joy’s blog; it is a place that will help you stay excited about your instruction which will carry over to your students." --Donna O'Connor, piano teacher in Connecticut
"This course was excellent! For several months, I had been looking for some kind of training for piano teachers. There are many university level, longer term programs available, but I needed something I could do from home. This course was exactly what I needed. I am a new teacher, and this course really helped steer my efforts toward the most important things that I should be focusing on--including the business side of teaching and the actual teaching. Ms. Morin was prompt about both responding to my questions and leaving feedback for my assignments. I also appreciated being able to interact with the other members of the class. Their ideas and experience were wonderful! I feel I am more organized and have clearer direction as a teacher because of this course."

Dear Joy, Observing the way you take such pride in your role as an educator has made a huge impact on me. You have truly helped me to look at what I do in a dramatically different way. You have helped me to treat my job more like a career. The changes I have made in my business approach have been exciting, but I'm even more enthusiastic about the way I FEEL about the piano. Watching you love music has helped me rekindle my love of the piano! I'm playing again and actually enjoying it! Thank you for being a great mentor and for being a new friend! --Susan Honey, teacher in North Carolina
I HIGHLY (*****) recommend Piano Teacher Institute by Joy Morin. This class was fantastic for me! My formal education came many years ago and I have taught many students over the years. But with a relocation of my studio to another state, I felt it was a great time to update my piano pedagogy skills and to enroll in the course. Ms. Morin did an EXCELLENT job with the design of the course as well as conducting the one hour weekly chat sessions with the other enrolled students. She included a variety of topics that are beneficial for not only a teacher just beginning to teach piano but also for an experienced teacher wanting to get some new ideas and updated information. The weekly assignments took me several hours to complete, but when I enrolled in the course it was with the attitude I was committed to get the most out of the course as I could. I am glad I could invest the time and complete the assignments because Ms. Morin’s feedback on homework was always prompt and very helpful. She is a very professional instructor but at the same time is very personal and insightful in helping each student in their piano teaching journey. The materials from the course will be an excellent resource for future usage. If you are looking for a great piano teacher class, I would encourage you to enroll in Piano Teacher Institute. --Phyllis Bowers, piano teacher in Alabama

The focus on technique and actual teaching is very useful for both new teachers and the most seasoned veteran. I highly recommend this course." --piano teacher in Ohio
"Thanks so much for making this course happen. I was so excited about it and you showed me so much. I have saved all your documents and have them printed in my piano teacher binder. Believe me when I say I have gotten so much accomplished since the class: updated studio policy, registered new name, business license, permit (which I originally didn't think I needed), record keeping system, etc. I thank you again for providing me with tools and pointers needed to have an effective piano studio!"

"Joy Morin's PTI course is one I would highly recommend for any piano teacher. This course exceeded my expectations and in my opinion, was worth every penny. I've been teaching piano lessons full-time for a year and this course has provided me with so much knowledge and resources. The first week's course, Business Sense, was extremely helpful in ensuring I had all of the proper bookkeeping, licensing, and insurance requirements pertaining to South Carolina. I also appreciated our weekly Google Hangout chats, in which the class was able to connect and exchange ideas, issues and concerns where it pertained to our personal piano studios. Thank you, Joy Morin, for all of the resources and knowledge you have provided! It was well worth the investment." -Tonia Stoney, piano teacher in South Carolina
